TOWN OF SANFORD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held before the Town Board on September 9, 2025, at 7:00pm at the Sanford Town Hall, 91 Second Street Deposit New York in said Town regarding the adoption of a Local Law to Regulate the Operation of Lakefront De-Icing Systems in the Special and Lake Protection Overlay Zoning Districts. The Local Law would regulate the installation and use of de-icing systems on lakefront properties within Special and Lake Protection Overlay Districts of the Town of Sanford for the purpose of safe guarding public and environmental health, welfare and safety during periods of the year in which ice accumulates on waterbodies located within the Town.
A copy of the Proposed Local Law will be located on Our Website and is on File and may be examined in the Office of the Town Clerk.
The environmental significance, if any, of the proposed Local Law will be reviewed as part of the Public Hearing. Persons with disabilities who require assistance in attending said public hearing or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request assistance.
Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Town Board or at such Public Hearing.
