TOWN OF SANFORD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET
OF THE TOWN OF SANFORD FOR THE YEAR 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Sanford, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Sanford, at the Sanford Town Hall, 91 Second Street, Deposit, NY 13754, where it is available for inspection by any interested citizens during office hours.
The Town Board of the Town of Sanford shall hold a Public Hearing on said Preliminary Budget of the Town of Sanford at the Sanford Town Hall, 91 Second Street, Deposit, NY 13754 on November 13, 2025, commencing at 6:00 PM, showing such changes, alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board. At such Public Hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled for nor against any items or items therein contained.
The following are the proposed Year 2026 Salaries of certain Officers of the Town:
Supervisor: $13,795.00
Each of (4) Councilmen: $2,985.00
Town Clerk/Tax Collector: $34,675.00
Town Superintendent of Highways: $65,370.00
Each of (2) Town Justices: $16,650.00
$15,725.00
Citizens have the right to provide written and oral comments and ask questions concerning the entire Budget or any portion thereof. Handicapped citizens who require assistance in attending said Public Hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned Town Clerk to request such assistance.
